In the context of a far-ranging business reorganization, with the goal of communicating with improved clarity and of providing increased product visibility, Cantina di Soave, one of the leading wine producers in Italy and on the international stage, is changing its name. Its new name will be CADIS 1898.
CADIS 1898 is actually an acronym comprised of the initials of the historic name, accompanied by the foundation year of the group.
CADIS 1898 will be the umbrella entity for the four main wine production cellars: Cantina di Soave, Cantina di Montecchia, Cantina di Illasi, and Terre al Lago.
In the future, the markets will see the Soave-area wines as the Cantina di Soave brand, the Valpolicellas as Cantina di Illasi, the Lessini Durello wines as Cantina di Montecchia di Crosara, and finally, the Garda, Bardolino and Custoza wines as Terre al Lago.
Fausto and Virginia Bulgarini with their children Andrea, Angelica and Benedetta are the reality of a dynamic and updated company in which the passion for wine is happily combined with the energy and commercial soul renewed daily.
Nobody in the family remembers which ancestor started making wine.
Certainly in the picturesque and ancient Borgo di Cantrina, the Averoldi have been winemakers and cellarmen for many generations; now it’s up to Francesco to continue the tradition. The love for their land and the defense of typicality are the inspiring principles of Francesco Averoldi, always careful to interpret the new needs of the market.
The wines of Averoldi are thus born from constancy, experience and diligent work: the search for quality while respecting tradition.
The work in the cellar is inspired by the maximum enhancement of the raw material.
The sorting and harvest are strictly manual, each particle is collected and vinified separately, each batch is controlled and monitored at each stage of fermentation, and then proceeds to the best possible assembly afterwards. This laborious elaboration leads to enhance complexity, balance and elegance in our wines.
History, tradition, nature, craftsmanship, passion, research and innovation are intertwined in the products of the Averoldi di Cantina farm.
Our company also stands out for the awards received from our wines and for the citations in some important guides such as: “Guide to Italian Wines”, “Gambero Rosso”, “Guide to daily Wine”.
You are invited to visit the vineyards and the cellar and to taste our wines.
You will be welcome guests.

Tenuta San Leone extends over 40 hectares of vineyards which, from the bank of the Mincio river in Salionze, goes towards the morainic hills of Custoza, in the province of Verona. The grapes are all vinified on the farm with the utmost respect for their intrinsic qualities and the wines offered directly on sale to the consumer.
The cellar of Tenuta San Leone was designed so that it can be “visited” on any day of the year; in fact, an “ad hoc” path has been created for the visitor who will be able to attend, in complete safety, also to all the working phases through an “aerial” crossing of the wine-making and bottling rooms.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a tour of the “Wine Museum”, between the charm of the ancient tools for grape processing and wine production. The museum can be visited for free, without reservation and without a guide for individual visitors. Guided tours can be booked for groups. After your tour in the cellar you can relax in the comfortable rooms of the Tenuta San Leone farmhouse and end the evening by tasting the risotto at our risotto or a meat dish at our Brewery and Brewery.

This choice is an integral part of the history of the Montebello estate which has designed its development on them and on a rigorous and environmentally friendly production policy.
The cellar is equipped with modern technologies for a winemaking respectful of tradition, but careful to accept functional devices that allow to enhance and highlight the characteristics and potential of the grapes produced by our vineyards.
In an ideal context for lovers of nature and tranquility, the Tenuta Montebello farmhouse offers visitors excellent lunches and dinners according to traditional recipes, accompanied by the fine wines produced on the farm.

Terra del Custoza is a territory located on the morainic hills south-east of Lake Garda and includes the Municipalities of Sommacampagna, Valeggio sul Mincio, Villafranca di Verona, Bussolengo and Sona. These areas with a high wine-growing vocation are all united by the cultivation of the typical vines for the production of Custoza wine: the native Corvina, the Chardonnay, white berried, and finally the Cabernet.
TYPICAL ACCOMPANYING PRODUCTS
This is a very rich territory from a food and wine point of view: in addition to naturally the Custoza D.O.C, a fresh and slightly aromatic wine, we find numerous typical products, ranging from fruit and vegetable raw materials to specialties and dishes cooked in a traditional way.
