Oselara
Garda’s sparkling Wine

THE CELLAR

Oselara is located in the heart of the Lugana area, covers an area of 13 hectares of vines, in the municipalities of Pozzolengo and Peschiera del Garda, which allows the collection of 160 tons of grapes per year.
The vineyards are cultivated with traditional methods and the harvest is done manually, ensuring careful sorting of the grapes.
Keeping low yields per hectare, not using chemical herbicides by working on the row, using natural fertilizers, selecting the bunches during the harvest, separating the must from the second pressing: this is our philosophy for obtaining excellent quality wines.
The cellar is equipped with modern equipment that combines tradition with innovation.
The care, passion and experience have led to national and international awards.

THE CELLAR

Cottini Stile Naturale
Cultivating the vine in a sustainable way and in respect of nature is a philosophy, a lifestyle.
In this way, the grapes naturally express the charachter of the territory, giving birth to a range of sustainable and refined wines.
Sustainability and Organic: production according to Nature.
The Cottini family has always carried out sustainable practices and protocols and at the same time sensitized the surrounding area.
The winery was the first wine company in the world to be certified for the use of biodiversity-friendly protocols as referred to in Biodiversity Friend standards. The winery is an active member of the WRT (Wine Research Team), a group of 35 wineries that put scientific research at the service of the sustainable enology and viticulture.
Through clear and measurable action plans, the Cottini family is committed to carrying out and implementing projects oriented to an even greater sustainability.
The winery has been organic certified for several years and invites all the partners to be certified according to the National Quality System of Integrated Production.
It continues with commitment the research in the field of resistant vines in order to almost completely reduce the use of chemicals in agriculture.
The Cottini family and the winery
For four generations the Cottini family has been cultivating a tradition that dates far back in time. It is a story of love and determination, that inspire every action and where the most priceless legacy is experience.
Diego Cottini and his wife Annalberta continue the work, accompanying knowledge, tradition and wine culture of the territory with constant research and experimentation as well as originality, initiative and a production chain certified at every step, from the grapes in the vineyard to the bottle. With their sons Michele and Mattia they bring to bear their talent and commitment and their wealth of experience of the land.
The history of the Cottini family began in 1900. It was the 1925 when Carlo Cottini founded the first wine reality of the family. The very important step towards the viticulture was made by the second and third generation, who specialized in the wine making. Raffaello, son of Carlo, built his first winery in Fumane, Valpolicella, where there are the roots of the family. From the initial 20 hectares, the property covers now 140 hectares.
The vineyards
The vineyards of the Cottini family has been producing organic grapes since harvest 2018: the chosen kind of agriculture is the result of a path already begun from years, that requires more attention first of all in the vineyard, in order to develop a greater sensitivity towards a physiological balance of our vineyards, reduce waste and increase the sustainability of the grapes production.
In the vineyards, less use of pesticides and only organic manuring management are the main beneficial effects on the environment in general and a grape production with less residue in particular, therefore a greater capacity to express the primary potential in aromas and wine structure.
The Certification was an important and demanding choice and today, through a meticulous traceability and transparency, the certified product certainly has an important added value for us but also and especially for the consumer, in a market increasingly careful to the respect of the environment and the genuineness of the products.
The labels: the inspiration.
Plants, fruit and animals that inhabit our countryside are a source of inspiration and poetry and are the main characters of the graphic design valuing it.
The graphic is inspired by the ancient naturalistic figures that are reworked like a collage, each figure has been created on the basis of ancient archive images selected and assembled by the illustrator.
The wines and the images that represent them express on the bottle a classic but at the same time modern beauty, unbridled and natural.

THE CELLAR

Olivini family is a reality that was born in 1970 and that has always pursued the enhancement of the territory, elevating a symbol of its production in Lugana.
Our cellar has two stories; the story of the grandfather who founded this company, who believed in the area and who imagined carrying out large projects and new interpretations of our vineyards. The second story is written by grandchildren Giorgio, Giordana and Giovanni, who have strongly wanted to reinterpret the passions of their grandfather, looking forward to a new business project, supported by the figure of our oenologist and agronomist Antonio Crescini who has always accompanied us in this great adventure of ours.
The passion for a territory, for a historical grape carries a reasoned, trademark registered by us in order to spread our philosophy of approach to nature.
